Tory joys

Manchester is enjoying hosting the Conservative Party Conference at the moment….. a dubious honour….  Manchester made more sense as a location for the Labour Party (not that I’m a Labour supporter either) but then these days both parties do seem very similar, so it wouldn’t matter which one decamped here I suppose.

I went to see the latest LipService theatre production ‘Desperate to be Doris’  at the Library Theatre last week. This is a lovely, lively and very funny show. A deliberate feeling of improvised ‘am-dram’ about it. A local community choir was especially assembled for this performance, which worked really well, belting out great Doris Day tunes.
